I mentioned our Tech Inner Circle on Monday – it occurred to me that you might not know what on earth I’m talking about!
(For those of you who are already members, you don’t need to read this email… but you might see some new members in the Clubroom shortly!)
Well, in a nutshell it’s a service we offer to a limited number of people to give more help with technical bits and pieces.
It started off as help with PCs – a way to ask questions and get answers, to read articles and even watch videos I’ve recorded about different topics.
Probably the most popular part of it is the Clubroom, where members can ask all sorts of questions – whether it’s “How do I do so and so”, “Help – such and such has happened” or even “I’d like some advice on what kind of XYZ is right for me”. Then Jess, Mike or I will answer. You might often find another member answers, too, and that can be useful as well, especially if, for example, you want to ask what everyone thinks of a particular model of printer or tablet or whatever.
Oh, and there are a few other bits and pieces as well, including free ebooks for members (including some not available anywhere else) to some recommended downloadable programs and our “Inner Circle TV”.
As I say, it started off all about help with PCs but since then we’ve started covering tablets and so on too.
It’s not something we can offer to everyone – we’d never keep up with it, so we’ve always kept the membership strictly limited and this is the first time for over a year that we’ve “opened the doors” to new members.
Above all, I think it helps you feel more confident with your PC, tablet or whatever, because you know you can get help if you need it.
Anyway, I’ll give you full details on it when I open the doors. Probably in about a week or so – I’ll let you know in advance when it’ll be, so you can have a look and decide if it’s for you.
Keep an eye open, though, as I don’t plan to keep the doors open for long. Probably no more than a few weeks at most.
I was unable to find the page to sign up for Inner Circle membership for quite a while today. I could not find a link on the normal website. However, after using different browsers finally we were successful and received confirmation & password.
One query, is it possible to pay annually in advance, the reason being that I do not wish to add to monthly outgoings and prefer to look at it similarly to other annual household payments. I know many people would select ‘on-the-drip’ and it may not suit your system but……….. If not, sobeit and I look forward to the journey.
